Future Guitar Hero Games?

"Guitar Hero: Aerosmith" is slated for release June 29. Unlike other "Guitar Hero" games, which feature scores of tracks from multiple artists, the Aerosmith expansion will include primarily that band's catalog, along with a smattering of songs from bands that Aerosmith wanted included. The game "storyline" features Aerosmith's rise from small venues in its Boston hometown to stadiums, with motion-capture animated versions of all band members.

The announcement of the much-rumored Metallica version of the game appears imminent although there has been no official announcement from Activision.

It got me to thinking what other artists are tailor-made for a Guitar Hero game. It just needs to be somebody with a great catalog of songs with a lot of great guitar riffs. Here are the top 10 games I'd most like to see next on Guitar Hero:

10. Guitar Hero: Pantera
9. Guitar Hero: AC/DC
8. Guitar Hero: Ozzy Osbourne (tracks from Randy Rhoads, Jake E Lee and Zakk Wylde)
7. Guitar Hero: Jimi Hendrix
6. Guitar Hero: Judas Priest (dueling lead guitars only)
5. Guitar Hero: Guns N Roses
4. Guitar Hero: Stevie Ray Vaughan
3. Guitar Hero: Van Halen
2. Guitar Hero: Black Sabbath
1. Guitar Hero: Led Zeppelin

OK, I know there's now way in hell some of those could possibly get licensed but wouldn't it be cool to see some 12 year-olds laying down their text messaging long enough to learn some Led Zeppelin? The world would be a better place.
