Everybody who knows me knows how big of a Steelers fan I am and have been for 30+ years. I've watched all 6 of their Super Bowl games and seen 'em win 5 of those. Now I'm looking really forward to hopefully winning #6 in 2 weeks against the Cardinals, except I'll have to ditch my license plate and t-shirts that say "5 Time Super Bowl Champs" (of which I have a few) if they do. I was worried when the momentum really shifted at the end of the first half, then Limus dropped an easy touchdown pass. Add Hines Ward's injury and going into halftime I had a bad feeling. When the Ravens got it to 14-16 and we were pretty much lifeless, I feared the worst. Thank you Troy Polamalu for changing all that. Whew. Man, some of the hits in that game were awesome though, from both sides. There are lots of guys sore today I'm guessing.

There were easily more brutal hits in the AFC Championship game yesterday than on Saturday night's UFC pay-per-view, a card full of questionable judging and guys not finishing guys. Not a good combination. Mark Coleman vs. Mauricio Rua turned out to be a snoozer and Rich Franklin got a 30-27 on one judge's card and somehow lost the fight to Dan Henderson. At least Marcus Davis vs. Chris Lytle was a war, and easily the fight of the night in my book.
So I had the UFC PPV watch party/beer tasting on Saturday, Sunday was the Steelers, and today I'm heading down to the horse track for some racing. Thanks MLK Jr for this fine 3-day weekend every year.
Here's some of my favorite pics from last night, especially the top one:
