Hogs Handle Mean Green

I've been catching a lot of college hoops this year, my first as a season ticket holder at UALR. This Saturday the Hogs even came to town for a visit and of course I hit that game as well, as did 16,000 other folks. It was a great, loud crowd who came out to see the young Hogs push their record to 11-1 against a very game North Texas squad, who go by the name of the "Mean Green" oddly enough.

I was glad that the Mean Green put up a good fight and even led at the half as I'd rather see the Hogs get tested, and they were. Michael Washington didn't budge though as he had a career high 34 points and 11 boards to led the Hogs to a 86-75 win. Lots of scoring and plenty of good action. The nation's best point guard, Courtney Fortson had a solid game as well with 12 points, 9 assists and 5 rebounds. The guy is amazing to watch and is really going to be something special. He completely controls the game when he's on the floor.

Here's some pics I took from my seat:
