Fitting Tribute To Levon Helms

Levon Helm was the son of cotton farmers in the Mississippi River delta area of Arkansas, born in Elaine and grew up in Turkey Scratch, just west of Helena, Arkansas. He was almost as much of an Arkansas legend as Johnny Cash. By the time he passed on April 19th he was pretty well known and respected by most in the music world as drummer and frequent lead and backing vocalist for The Band.
