I think maybe I'm happier that the Cards missed the playoffs altogether than have to go through what Cub's fans just did. I feel for them, because even I thought this was actually going to be their year. I was drinking the Kool-Aid.
The Cubs have made the playoffs the last 2 seasons and the Cards haven't, I'll give them that. But in the last 3 seasons the Cards have 11 playoff wins and a world title... the Cubs have 0 playoff wins in the last 3 seasons. 2 sweeps. Curse? Goat? Bartman? Black Cats? Jocks too tight? Bad steroids? I'd just say they choked.
But just you wait until next year...

Ugh. What a way to cap the season. The Cubs definitely had the talent to win it all, they simply didn't execute when it mattered the most. I tip my hat to the Dodgers. They are a good team.
