Seven Pounds
The Plot: A professional man (Will Smith) who is close to suicide for his role in an auto accident that claimed the lives of seven people finds a reason to live, and to atone, when he falls for a woman (Rosario Dawson) who wants to help him deal with his grief.
My Thoughts: It's from the same director as Pursuit of Happyness, another Will Smith joint, and it looks about as uplifting. I've heard there's a bit of a twist as well. I'm anxious to see this.
The Tale of Despereaux
The Plot: Banished from his home for being more man than mouse, Despereaux is befriended by Princess Pea, who teaches him the value of reading books (instead of eating them) as well as a fellow outcast, Roscuro the Rat. When Roscuro is shunned by the princess, however, he plots her kidnapping, putting Desperaux's human-sized bravery to the test.
My Thoughts: I don't know much more about this than what I've seen in the trailer, but it looks pretty interesting.
Yes Man
The Plot: What happens when you agree with everyone and say "yes" to everything? Carl (Jim Carrey) is about to find out when he chooses to become overly agreeable for an entire year.
My Thoughts: Wasn't this called Liar, Liar just a few years ago? But Carey is usually good for a few laughs and I love Zooey Deschanel, who co-stars.
